After being sick with COVID-19 for weeks, Meredith split her time between two hospitals. She was hired by Dr. Hamilton to work on a cure for Parkinson's in Minnesota. There, she reconnected with Nick Marsh and began dating him while still working part-time at Grey-Sloan in Seattle. She decides to move her family to Minnesota with Nick after helping Grey-Sloan gain back its accreditation for the residency program that was on probation.
